Webmail allows you to check your email from a web browser, as opposed to a desktop mail application such as Outlook or Thunderbird. This means that you can check your email from any web browser, anywhere in the world (similar to how Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail work).
You hosting control panel (cPanel) includes three different webmail applications to choose from:
- Horde
- RoundCube
- SquirrelMail.
You can access webmail from within cPanel or by going directly to the web address:
http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail
(substituting your hosted domain foryourdomain.com).
