Do I require an SSL certificate?

If you are setting up an online shop or shopping cart, then you will most likely need an SSL certificate.

You need an SSL certificate if you wish to encrypt, and thereby secure, private information between a website and its visitors. So for example, if a website is going to take credit card details, then such information ought to be secured for obvious reasons. Having an SSL certificate secures the connection between a website and its visitors so noone else can tap into the information being sent or received.

SSL certificates need to be setup by our server admins since configuring needs to be done at the server level. So when required, simply place an order for one of our range of SSL certificates, and we will take care of the rest.
