Why are there so many folders in my hosting account's web space?

If you have accessed your web space by FTP or via "File Manager" under your cPanel, then you may have noticed several folders.

The only folder that needs to concern you is the "public_html/" folder, which is where you should upload all your website files.

All other folders (e.g., "mail/", "tmp/", "public_ftp/") should be left alone unless you know what you are doing.
